LIFT 2024

42 performances, 8 shows, 7 venues, 1 festival. The Personal is Epic is the theme of LIFT's 2024 festival, with personal accounts of justice, migration and protest take on mythic proportions through barrier-breaking storytelling. With three world premieres, dynamic collaborations and iconic presentations.

“A gut-punching performance that will leave you in splits.”

– A Young(ish) Perspective

“magically uplifting.”

– The Telegraph

“ Powerful, raw, vital, fearless, thought-provoking. I have never seen anything quite like it.”

– LIFT 2024 Audience Member

This festival was made and put on during a complex global moment; amidst a climate crisis, a cost of living crisis, and war and turmoil in a number of global regions.

Alongside the main festival programme, LIFT also partnered with Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Performance Studies International to partake in 29th iteration of their PSi conference.

LIFT also commissioned BAFTA award-winning interactive arts company Coney to design and deliver a series of playful workshops for workers and residents in the City of London called Coney Workplace Boosts. This initiative was supported by the City of London as a part of LIFT’s LIFT the City programme.
