30 Days of LIFT
LIFT 2012 is now only 30 days away, and things are hotting up at LIFT HQ. 100% London is now 70 people in to the statistical chain-reaction of recruitment, Iranian theatre-director Hamid Poorazari is creating Unfinished Dream, a thrilling new work within a car park in Croydon, and LIFT 2012 co-commissions Motor Show and The Rest Is Silence opening to rave reviews in Brighton last week.
To celebrate this 30 day countdown to LIFT 2012 we are beginning 30 Days of LIFT, a series of blogs, videos and diaries from behind the scenes of LIFT 2012, giving you a unique insight into the creatives behind our festival. And what better way to start off than with a blog from Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theatre, talking about when he first encountered Elevator Repair Service's tour-de-force Gatz.

LIFT is proud to announce the inclusion of the award-winning work 20/20 , directed by Romania's Gianina Carbunariu.

GATZ – LIFT in the West End for the first time ever - 23 Performances only!
LIFT 2012 is chock full of ‘firsts’, but one of the most exciting is our first ever show in the West End – Elevator Repair Service’s Gatz, an incredible 8 hour enactment of the Great Gatsby - with several intervals, including a long dinner interval, so don’t worry about your behind getting sore or not having enough to eat!
Call out for Performers & Designers
LIFT is looking for performers, a designer and a sound designer to work with award-winning writer and director Lucien Bourjeily, to create 66 Minutes in Damascus, an immersive theatrical experience based on events recounted by journalists and activists who have been released from Syrian secret detention centres.
