LIFT Welcomes New Interim Head of Development

LIFT is delighted to welcome Georgie Neve as interim Head of Development whilst Isabelle Acred is on maternity leave.

Georgie joins LIFT from BAFTA and with seven years’ experience as a fundraiser in the creative sector, having worked in both the UK and Australia.

Georgie’s fundraising career began at Sydney Theatre Company, the state theatre company for New South Wales, which fosters relationships and collaborations with international artists. Georgie worked passionately on developing funds for its’ artistic development, education and capital works before moving to Sydney Writers’ Festival – Australia’s world-famous international celebration of literature, stories and ideas.

Returning home to London in 2019, Georgie worked for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), and is now hugely excited to return to her first love (theatre!) at LIFT.

Of her new role, Georgie said:

“I am so thrilled to be joining LIFT at this exciting moment following its electrifying 2022 festival. LIFT is such a unique and inspiring organisation; it offers an incredible contribution to the sector both on home ground and across the world. I’m absolutely delighted to be part of it.”

Georgie will be with LIFT as Interim Head of Development until Isabelle Acred returns from maternity leave in the new year. We’re thrilled to have Georgie with us as we work to build on the success of this year’s festival.
