LIFT 1999 presented 40+ companies from Syria, the UK, Germany, Israel, India, South Africa, Australia, Venezuela, Italy, France, South Africa, Ireland, Australia.

In 1999 LIFT presented a trilogy of productions, which in their very different ways dealt with the ‘toxins of apartheid’. And the Teachers Forum began in 1999.
