    She She Pop

Jewellery, legal succession, family trees, gas receipts … just a few of the topics that rose up when fathers and daughters laid their relationships bare.

Taking to the stage with their real dads, German performance collective She She Pop confronted the complex dynamics between generations with frank tenderness. Shakespeare’s King Lear was the backdrop to an audacious show that integrated film, personal testimony, big-band covers and dance to tackle the realities of ageing, inheritance and parenthood head-on.

Intensely honest ... awash with love and regret, and a great litany of forgiveness. It searingly exposes the ties that bind, the debts we owe, and the deficits and accumulations of love
