SESSION celebrated London’s Afrobeats scene. In 2016, British choreographer Dan Canham spent a few weeks getting to know LIFT’s Tottenham community. He made some brilliant portrait films and decided to embark on the creation of a new show in collaboration with local music producers Empire Sounds and long-running dance school Steppaz.
SESSION, performed at LIFT 2018, showcased Tottenham’s vibrancy and diversity through live music and performances by a group of stunningly energetic young dancers.
