Tragedy is one of drama's most ancient forms, yet where does its future lie? Tragedia Endogonidia is the result of Societas Raffaello Sanzio's research into this very question, taking the shape of 11 distinct episodes penned for specific European cities. The ninth episode set in London continues artistic director Romeo Castellucci's obsession with these themes. Concerned with how the classic model of tragedy can evolve in the modern age, Societas Raffaello Sanzio uses film and a constantly mutating backdrop to wordlessly push tragedy into a place beyond language and even logic.  It is a strange, emotive and visionary realm that this company and their director have long called their own.
