Put your best foot forward to test the truth of some age-old proverbs in the fun and family-orientated interactive performance piece Old Dog New Trick.

Created in association with the Roundhouse, the foyer of the theatre will be turned into an alchemical laboratory-cum-gypsy caravan, as a team of scientists invite you to examine whether the grass is always greener on the other side and if you can actually make a horse drink after leading it to water. Putting these words of wisdom under scrutiny through a series of experiments and pantomime performances, the ultimate test comes when you see if the old black dog Bach really can learn new tricks. On the basis of this ‘scientific’ evidence, the audience then judges which proverbs to believe and which t o take with a pinch of salt.

Part of LIFT’s Landscape of Childhood season which also includes acrobat, Ubung and Festen.
